The British Guiana 1c Magenta

The Mauritius "Post Office" Stamps

The Mauritius "Post Office" stamps are among the most famous and valuable stamps ever issued. The Hawaiian Missionaries Stamps

The Hawaiian Missionaries are some of the earliest postage stamps issued outside Europe and North America. Released between 1851 and 1852 by the Kingdom of Hawaii, these stamps were used primarily by American missionaries residing on the islands.

The Hawaiian Missionaries come in three denominations: 2 cents, 5 cents, and 13 cents. Due to their limited print run and fragile nature, very few examples have survived over the years. A well-preserved Hawaiian Missionary stamp can fetch hundreds of thousands of dollars at auction.

The Red Mercury Stamp

The Red Mercury stamp was issued by Austria in 1856 as part of their newspaper tax series. Named after the Roman god Mercury depicted on it, this stamp is extremely rare due to its limited use and subsequent destruction during World War II bombings.

Only a handful of Red Mercury stamps are known to exist today. In recent years, examples have sold for over $40 thousand at auction—a testament to their rarity and historical significance within Austrian philately.
